Summary
Pokéscan has no accounts and no sign-in. We do not sell your data or build advertising profiles. The only data we handle is what is needed to identify a card and look up its price.
Camera and photos
When you scan a card, the app captures a single still frame from your camera and sends it to our server, which passes it to an AI model to read the card name, set and number. The image is used only for that request and is not stored in a database or shared for advertising. The app never records video and only uses the camera while the scanner is open.
Searches and pricing lookups
Card names and numbers you search are sent to our server to query public Pokémon card databases and to generate estimated price ranges. Prices are estimates for reference only.
Scan history
Your scan history and currency preference are stored locally on your device using browser storage. They are not uploaded to us. Clearing the history in the app, or clearing the app's storage, removes them.
Third-party services
To provide results, requests may reach public card databases, a currency exchange rate API, and the AI provider used for card recognition. These services receive only the data needed to answer the request (for example, the card photo or search term).
Children
Pokéscan is a general-audience tool and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your choices
You can deny or revoke camera permission in your device settings and still use manual search. You can delete your locally stored scan history at any time from the app.
